He recognizes that such behavior is not acceptable and refuses to participate in the activity. Not only because it is harmful to others, but also because he knows his actions will define who he is.

Integrity

In pre-adolescence, the temptation to dishonesty often grows, and it is common for a child to start telling white lies or omitting certain parts of stories when speaking to their parents. This is a normal part of a young person’s identity development, but the situation can get out of hand if the parents have not taught the child the importance of honesty.

Parents must strive to make their children understand that honesty is bravery. While a child can sometimes feel like he or she avoids problems by telling a lie, in the long run, dishonesty only makes things worse and makes us unreliable.
