The Joy Of Childbirth – Childbirth Is Not Just A Pain

The joy of childbirth - childbirth is not just a pain

Childbirth is not just a pain, as it comes with a long-awaited gift that you have been preparing for for a long time – perhaps for the rest of your life. The joy of childbirth means receiving a new baby into the world.

The joy of childbirth does not necessarily mean that all the pain caused by childbirth is wiped out by a new feeling brought by motherhood. The immense feeling of satisfaction and happiness you experience as you welcome your child into the world is deeper than any other feeling.

Childbirth is a clash of emotions

The joy of childbirth is a feeling that cannot be compared to any other feeling or event experienced in life.

Few feelings in the world are greater than the feeling caused by childbirth. Receiving no reward, graduating with top honors, or marrying the love of one’s life evokes a deeper and more holistic feeling than the birth of one’s own child.

But before you get to experience that magical and deep feeling of bringing your own flesh and blood to the world of a small human being, you have to go through a fierce battle — you may suffer even hours of painful contractions when time seems to stop and relief feels like a very distant thought.

Childbirth causes a relentless clash of emotions. The joy and pain of childbirth go hand in hand.

Pregnancy

Is the pain worth it?

If childbirth were not full of all the worry, restlessness, and pain, would the first encounter with the baby be so meaningful? Maybe not.

The most memorable memories often come from situations where we are put to our extremes — whether in a happy, sad, or painful context.

No one remembers easy times, for our brains simply cherish those truly meaningful moments and events that leave deep imprints on us.

If so, perhaps the birth of a child would not be as special if the birth were too easy and painless. Maybe our children would arrive in the world without its weird celebrations.

Childbirth should be celebrated

Childbirth, that is, the very moment when a woman’s pregnancy ends and a new life begins, is a time of joy — a joy that cannot even be imagined.

At the start of childbirth, the hospital staff revolves around you, preparing for the administration of medications and possible interventions. The mother who comes to all this has prepared herself for the past 40 weeks.

The moment of a child’s birth requires long nerves, it can be full of despair, but also a state of charm. This moment is shared between the mother and her partner.

Almost always, the mother is the first to get the newborn in her arms, and the father waits a moment for his turn. Parents themselves, as well as loved ones with a heart in their throats waiting to meet the little one, eagerly await the words of a doctor or midwife: “Beautiful little boy, 3.5 pounds! All right.”

These few wonderful and important words release the flood of emotions in the listeners. The baby’s father is patted on the back, the grandparents celebrate with uncles and aunts. They are all waiting their turn to welcome a newcomer into the world.

The joy of childbirth is undeniable – and worth all its pain

The moment of childbirth is often scary for a woman.  First-time mothers are often insecure, and other women’s comments do not comfort in a moment of fear:

Baby in a hut

Those who have already gone through childbirth know what to expect. Depending on what kind of first childbirth you have experienced, you may be more calm or fearful about your future birth.

Whether it is the first birth or not, an easy or painful birth for many hours, all mothers can agree with the following:

That feeling of relief when your baby is born is something unprecedented and incredible. Suddenly you are relaxed, and you let an indescribable mixture of surprise, disbelief, and happiness sweep over you.
