I Can’t Stop Imagining What You Look Like

The long awaited and desired day is finally here – the pregnancy test is positive! This result is the fulfillment of dreams, from which a magnificent and exciting nine-month journey begins. From that moment on, I can’t stop imagining what you look like, and I can’t be dreaming about you.

The time for the first medical examination is coming. I promise to follow every instruction I receive. I promise to protect this rough diamond and polish it with my deepest love. My heart is flooded with love and joy.

I can’t stop looking at my stomach thinking that soon I will see you grow in this world.  Until then, my body is your cradle. I rock you night and day, singing the cutest lullabies. I have endless conversations with you, my best friend and my most loyal partner.

I look forward to experiencing this pregnancy and enjoying every second of the process. I look forward to the moment when I know you in my stomach. I want to experience life, to know that your little body develops and grows within me.

I am your refuge, your sweater and your food source, all perfectly designed by nature for you, please be the most important person in my life. Imagine and dream about what your days and nights will look like. Imagine me, your mother, too, and know that you will be happy and whole by my side.

I agree with my loved ones that the most important thing is your health and well-being. Therefore, your gender and what you look like are secondary issues. I guarantee you eternal love, no matter how you were born into the world. Girl or boy, blonde or brunette, it doesn’t matter to me.

I still can’t stop thinking about you. I imagine your arrival and our first interaction. I imagine the softness of your scent, your face and your skin. To satisfy my curiosity, I will try to see you and get to know you even before you arrive.

I can already imagine your little fingers, your round belly, and your little toothless smile. I’m so excited to think of you alone. Imagining you in my arms. In moments like this, I can’t stop stroking my stomach.

The thought of you sleeping next to me and the thought of your first smile melting my heart. I imagine myself kissing your little feet, who will soon take their first steps.

From the day I heard you were coming into my life, I knew a lot of things were going to change. Nothing makes me happier than thinking about those changes.

I accept with love and respect this mission that shapes me as a person. A woman rejuvenates when her heart detaches from her previous body as she becomes a mother.

Today you have become my perfect dream. A dream that evokes previously thoughtless and unexplored thoughts and feelings. 

All my hopes and material, created to make all my hopes come true, crystallize in you. Despite all the overwhelming fears and doubts in my mind, I know that you will bring me strength and courage. You give strength to get over all the obstacles that stand in the way of my motherhood.

I want to see your smile feed my smile. I want to be your partner and your trust. The miracle of life is truly miraculous. I want to give you everything you need to be the happiest child in the world.

My children, today you are the strongest will in my being. You are my reason to live, the engine that helps me cope. You are the most powerful and strongest force that will drive me forward.
